A month of Mo Willems...

Join us in the storytime Room for drop-in activities all month long!

January 6th-31st, during library hours. Free and open to all.
No registration required. 

Come have mo' fun with Mo Willems friends! Fans of Elephant, Piggy, Pigeon, and Knuffle Bunny? This month we'll be celebrating author Mo Willems. Stop in for a fun photo, draw a comic, and play literacy games. Best suited for children ages 3-10.

Out of this World Storytimes

Join Miss Paula on Monday, July 1st @ 10:30 and Wednesday July 3rd @ 10:30 for stories, songs and crafts.  No registration necessary, ages 4-5 years.  Hope to see you there!

Community Storytime TODAY @ 3:30!!!!!

The Seabrook Fire Department will be presenting our Community Storytime this afternoon @ 3:30.  Please join us for this special event that will feature some of our local heroes.  No registration is necessary and all ages are welcome!  Hope to see you there!

April Happenings

Join the Children's Department on Wednesday, April 24 at 10:30 p.m. for a special puppet performance with Carol & Crew!  This fun program will be held in place of our regular storytime.

Children 2 and under are invited to our "Library Littles" Storytime on Tuesdays beginning at 10:30 a.m.

LEGO Club continues this month each Thursday at 4 p.m. except during School Vacation week.

Also, stop by and enjoy some family board games, borrow a ukulele or check out our awesome selection of new books!  We look forward to seeing you soon!

March on into the Library

This month in the Children's Department:

  • There will be NO storytime on Wednesday, March 13 as Miss Paula is away.  But every other Wednesday children ages 2-4 and their caregivers are invited for stories, rhymes, songs, crafts and more beginning at 10:30 a.m.  No registration required.
  • Our Baby Lapsit continues on Tuesdays but with a new name to reflect our attendance.  "Library Littles" takes place on Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and is designed for children 0-24 months and their caregivers.  Join us for a story, songs, rhymes, fingerplays and a simple craft.  Playtime follows in the Storytime Room.
  • LEGO Club continues this month with fun challenges including making a LEGO Leprechaun Trap on Thursday, March 14. 
  • Stop by on Fridays afterschool and challenge your friends to a Wii MarioKart tournament or play some of our fun board games.  Did you know we also have some games and puzzles that can be checked out and taken home?  We do!
  • Homeschool students are invited to our first Homeschool Hangout on Friday, March 15 from 1-2:30 p.m.  This month we will feature Maker activities.  Create your own stop motion animation video, try our new 3-D pen or design something to print on the 3-D printer, build a catapult with our new Keva Planks set or come up with your own idea using our variety of supplies.

  • Picwits, Pickles and Pizza for Middle School Students!  Play a fun board game while eating pickles and pizza on Wednesday, March 6 from 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • Tail Waggin' Tutor:  Drop-in and read to Evie our therapy dog between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons.
  • Storytimes:  Baby Lapsit for ages 0-24 months on Tuesdays at 10:30 and Read, Play, Create for children ages 2-4 on Wednesdays at 10:30.  Come enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, crafts and more with your little ones.  
  • LEGO Club continues each Thursday afternoon from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for children in grades K-4.  Try the weekly challenge or build your own creations to display in the library.  This season challenges will include Fall Favorites including balloon rocket cars and the zipline challenge!

February Events and Activities

  • This month read with Evie our Tail Waggin' Tutor on Wednesdays from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.  There is also an open spot to read to her on Tuesdays at 4 p.m.  Call or email Miss Gretyl for more info.
  • Sign up for our Vacation Week Paint Event with Painting Buzz on Feb. 27 at 2 p.m.!  This month we will paint a cute snowman in an outdoor scene.  This event is open all ages eight and up.  The cost is $6 to cover supplies.  Register by calling the library or emailing Miss Gretyl.
  •  Storytimes continue this month and during vacation week.  Tuesdays Baby Lapsit is designed for babies 0-18 months and features a story, movement activities, music and more.  Wednesdays storytime is designed for children ages 2-4 and also features a craft time.  Older and younger siblings are always welcome.  Both storytimes begin at 10:30 a.m. 

  • LEGO Club also continues this month at 4 p.m. on Thursday afternoons.  Challenges this month will include a Zipline - back by popular demand.
  •  Visit us to check out new books and movies or to get recommendations on what might be your next favorite read-aloud.  We look forward to seeing you!
