May Happenings

A fun time was had by all during school vacation week.  Carol and Crew entertained about 40 children and parents with a special puppet show, a handful of families learned how to protect seals snoozing on Seabrook Beach this pupping season, and about a dozen children tried their hand at Sand Art.  You can see some of their creations on display along the walls of the Children's Area.

Looking ahead, we are so excited for our annual Tea Party hosted by Library Trustee Laura Litcofsky and her daughter, Kaylee coming up on Saturday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m.!  Join us for tea and make a surprise for a special grown-up in your life just in time for Mother's Day!

Regular programming also continues in May before we break for an exciting Summer Reading Program!  Weekly programs include:
  •  Sing, dance, read stories and make a simple craft with Miss Gretyl on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. during Preschool Storytime.
  • Join Miss Paula on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 for Read, Play, Create - a fun and engaging preschool aged storytime (siblings welcome).
  • Youth ages 10 and up are invited to YA (Young Adult) Wednesday programming from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  This week we will get a sneak peek into the historic Brown Library and see if we can make video games work on our new Story Room screen.  Each week youth attendees help decide the following week's program.  Pizza is served.  Please notify Miss Gretyl of any food allergies.
  • LEGO Club continues on Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for children in grades K-4.  Come check out some of their challenge creations in the glass display case near the Circulation Desk!
We look forward to seeing you at Seabrook Library soon! Questions?  Give us a call at 603-474-2044.
